Our Mission
To provide a fun venue for people of all ages and abilities to meet, play and learn Scrabble and above all enjoy themselves.

Our History
The founding members, Siobhan Doyle, Ann Doyle-Kelly, John Ryan & Aileesh Harpur set up the Menapia Scrabble Club, near the end of 2003.  We have now been going strong for 6 years.

Structure
The club does not have a normal structure of treasurer/secretary/chair etc as we decided this would get in the way of enjoying Scrabble.  Instead we have an informal gathering of like-minded people getting together and enjoying themselves.  As the saying goes, there are no strangers in our club, just friends you have yet to meet

Wexford Town Branch

We started off with one meeting per week, Thursday evenings, in the Westgate Tavern at the time, who allowed the use of there facilited for free, therefore our club could operate with no costs, subscriptions or dues to the members.  We have subsequently moved to the Gaelic Bar on the Distillery Road.

New Ross Branch
In the Summer of 2005, we launched the New Ross Branch, that meets on tuesday evenings.  This club is currently taking a break, but if anyone from that side of the County (or close by from Waterford, or surrounding area) is interested in playing a game of Scrabble please let us know.

Enniscorthy Branch
In the Summer of 2007 we started this branch of the club, with meetings at the riverside Hotel but have now moved to Holohans Bar on the Quay.  For the winter of 2009 we are running an 8 week beginners Scrabble course for anyone interested in getting started.  More information on that is being put together as we speak (or read), so please check back later.
